EatSmart (the “App”) is operated by Asserere LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”). Asserere LLC respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the App.

By using EatSmart, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

When you use EatSmart, we may collect the following types of information:

a. Personal Information

  • Name, email address, and account login details.
  • Age, gender, height, weight, and other profile details you provide.

b. Health and Nutrition Data

  • Food entries, macros, weight goals, and progress logs.
  • Data shared via Apple HealthKit (only if you explicitly grant permission).

Apple HealthKit Disclaimer:
We will never use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or other data mining purposes. HealthKit data is only used to provide and improve features within EatSmart.

c. Payment and Transaction Data

  • Subscription and purchase history.
  • We do not collect or store your credit/debit card information. Payments are processed securely by Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

d. Technical and Usage Data

  • Device information (e.g., device type, operating system).
  • Log data (e.g., IP address, app usage patterns, crash reports).

e. Third-Party Services

  • Supabase: Used for authentication, secure storage, and database management.
  • Analytics tools (if added): For improving app performance and user experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

We may use your information to:

  • Provide and personalize your EatSmart experience.
  • Track your food, macros, and health goals.
  • Process subscriptions and purchases via the app stores.
  • Improve our app features and user experience.
  • Respond to customer support inquiries.
  • Send updates, reminders, or promotional content (with your consent).
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data only in the following cases:

  • Service Providers: With trusted vendors (e.g., Supabase, cloud hosting, analytics).
  • App Stores: To process payments through Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law, regulation, or legal process.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the App and fulfill the purposes described in this Policy. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 7).

EatSmart is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
